Freelance work is something you can do once you build up your online skills. For example, you could write content for larger websites that don`t have time to do it themselves. There are many places where you can meet people who need help but it is always best to have a home base website to make you look much more credible.
Aside from online work, you can also market your real-world business by using your website to create reach for your services. This is a field known as local marketing and can be a very effective means of self-promotion. One great thing about local marketing is that “local” (location based) keywords tend to be fairly low competition.

Generally digital products(like those found at clickbank) get you a much higher commission rate than physical(like amazon products). On the other hand, physical products offer a far wider selection, which can lead to much higher rates of sales. What you affiliate yourself with can make or break your credibility, so choose wisely!
When doing affiliate marketing, the best(and arguably, only) way to go is to narrow down your target audience to a particular niche. If you check out various successful sites, you will see that they all(that I am aware of) do exactly this. Some pick 2 or more niches to tackle but generically, you should only be doing one niche per site.
